Hello hello! It’s been some time, but I’ve uploaded some more picture. They can be viewed in my picasa web gallery. I still don’t have any descriptions written. I’m hoping there will be some point where I’ll be able to sit down and write them. I had time to sit down and upload these today, didn’t I?
I have not, however, been blogging. This is something that I am quite sorry about. I’ve been in Texas for the past week visiting family for my cousin’s graduation. I’ve had a great time. We have one more day then we’ll be driving back.
Anyway, enjoy the pictures. I hope they are to your liking; there are some good ones in there.
To start off, they will just be organized into a couple of sets. I’ll try and go in and separate them by town as well. The address is: http://picasaweb.google.com/Jason.H.Davis.
I’m not uploading all of them, obviously, just picking out a far number. Some are garbage, and some might be worked on later.
The past couple of days I’ve been in Athens. I’m in the middle of trying to find a new place to live. I looked at two places today which were both very nice.
Also, I’ve taken advantage of being here by working on the WUOG podcasting pages. There are some minor glitches with them, and there’s a lot of work to transfer all of the old files. Also, I need to put in some more work on the design. I think it’s chugging along nicely, though. I’ll post a link here when there’s something worth seeing.
1) Many of the pictures taken on the trip were done with Kassie’s (the person I was traveling with) camera.
2) I’ve already posted pictures of Zurich.
So, in an attempt to stall the mass posting of pictures, because I still (after 4 months) haven’t figured out where I’m going to put 4,000+ pictures, I’m going to post some more pictures of Venice.
A Venice! Where the streets are paved with water.
The Venice locals have decided that giant mechanical bugs are all the rage. They can be seen in shops throughout the town. I can imagine Venician apartments are like metal bug wars.
Venice has a leaning tower as well, but I suppose it is often overlooked because the rest of the city is so awesome.
Pisa, on the other hand, brings nothing else to the table.
This large clock tower displays the signs of the zodiac on its face.
This man is chasing me with hot glass. Look at that glass blower glare!
Hopefully I will have things of more importance to report tomorrow!
Jason
I finally feel like I’m seeing Europe! I got into Zurich yesterday and have been enjoying the town immensely. It’s so great to see Europe from outside of the eyes of the Italians.
I’ve taken some great pictures here.
In Zurich!
Those Swiss Clocks.
There are churches here too.
A park in Zurich near the Chinese Garden.
Inside of that park was a giant, working sculpture called Heureka! Twice a day it turns on for fifteen minutes. I was lucky enough to see it in action, and I hope to post a video of it soon.
Here are the most choice photos and videos that I’ve taken in both Bologna and Venice.
The only thing from Bologna is the most amazing thing that I’ve seen in my life. Ever.
Ever
Apparently Casanova, every Italian man’s idol, was from Venice. Sadly, the statue is tragically ironic. The man who loved so deeply can no longer be touched by anyone.
This picture was taken sitting at St. Marc’s. You can’t really capture the magnitude of it all in a picture, so I just zoomed in.
Kassie and I were walking around and found this really sweet Medusa carving.
